Welcome back to Scripture for Your Inner Outcasts. Today is March 9th, 2026, Monday of the Third Week of Lent. Today we are joined by Pam Malinoski, the integrator for Souls and Hearts.

In today's Gospel, we hear Luke chapter four, verse 28 and 29. "When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong." I wonder if you sometimes feel like those in the Gospel being driven out of the town and hurled away headlong? Do you sense that you are being hidden away so that all those more well-behaved and acceptable managers and protectors hold the front and center stage to the world? I imagine that bothers you very much. After all, you hold so many of the burdens within the system. Shame, anger, isolation, abandonment, grief and neglect. You are working hard to shoulder these memories, these burdens, so that the rest of your system can continue to function in day to day life. And what is your reward? To be outcast, to be thrown aside, to be exiled. It's unfortunately a product of disintegration. You, as well as those managers and firefighters around you, are sitting in individual silos. You have an important, irreplaceable role in your system. It's just that others sometimes don't know or understand you very well. They only see and therefore react to the negative. The good news is that it is possible to be more integrated. Your innermost self can listen to you, connect with your story, and offer you empathy and understanding. Once that relationship is built on trust, your innermost self can also connect you with others in your system and eventually God, Jesus, and the Blessed Virgin Mary in a new and loving relationship. Only then will that negative dynamic change. You will no longer be driven out. Instead, you will be welcomed and loved as an important part of the whole, one that is a beloved child of God.
