198 Letting God Witness and Hear the Exile's Story

Welcome back to Scripture for Your Inner Outcasts. It's March 24th, 2026, Tuesday of the Fifth Week of Lent. Today we are joined by Jan, a Level 2 trained Internal Family Systems coach and a member of Souls and Hearts' Resilient Catholics Community.
"Let this be written for the generation to come, and let his future creatures praise the LORD: 'The LORD looked down from his holy height, from heaven he beheld the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoners, to release those doomed to die.' O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to you." How does that sound to you exiles? That God hears your groaning. God wants to release those locked up, burdened parts. You can set the captives free, and future generations can be blessed because of this. Because knowing and feeling and sensing God's love, interiorly, when we integrate, those exiles can tell their story. And God can hear the story. And God can be there to witness all the pain and all the suffering and all the groaning. And life can be added on for future generations to come. Life within us. Life within our parts. Life within our burdens. Life within our exiles, can be released. Can we feel the lightness of having our burdens released and heard by God and heard by those parts that manage us, that distract us? What would that feel like? Interiorly knowing that God hears our prayers. He comes to us. This work interiorly is not just for today, but for future generations to come. Can we rest in that? Can we rest in God's union with us, in union with our parts? And can we rest in God's love and his mercy for all of our parts? And letting those exiles be witnessed and their story heard.
