204 Bringing Exiles Out of Confinement

"I, the LORD, have called you for the victory of justice, I have grasped you by the hand; I formed you, and set you as a covenant of the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from confinement, and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness."
Welcome back to Scripture for Your Inner Outcasts. Today is March 30th, 2026, Monday of Holy Week. Today we are joined by Jan, a Level Two trained Internal Family Systems coach and a member of Souls and Hearts' Resilient Catholics Community.
A reading from Isaiah 42, verses six and seven. "I, the LORD, have called you for the victory of justice, I have grasped you by the hand; I formed you, and set you as a covenant of the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from confinement, and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness." Do you exiles ever sense the prison-like confinement that you have been in? Are you exiles aware that many protectors are trying their best to keep you in some ways locked up? Those protectors do their very best in their own way to balance things internally, not knowing that a different way is possible, and that by slowly getting to know more about what the protectors protect, you exiles might have more to say about this and might one day be able to slowly come out of confinement and a light can be shown unto you in a new way so that you can be seen, heard, known, loved and understood, knowing our God who has formed us, is able to hold out a hand and strengthen each part of us and bring us closer in union with him and union with all of our parts internally, and you exiles your sight and vision can one day be restored. For God has called all of our parts to victory.
