208 Exiled Parts as Christ-Like Figures in Their Suffering

Transcript

Speaker 1: Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured while we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted. But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins. Upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole. By his stripes we were healed.

Speaker 2: Welcome back to Scripture for your inner outcasts. It's April 3rd, 2026, Good Friday. Today we are joined by Pam Malinoski, the integrator for our souls and Hearts.

Speaker 1: From the first reading today, Isaiah chapter 53, verse four and five. Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured while we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted. But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins. Upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole. By his stripes we were healed. When I hear the first reading from today's Good Friday service and how Jesus bore all the sins of mankind from the beginning to the end of the world through his passion. I am reminded of you exiles. In many ways. You are the Christ like figures in all of our systems. You carry all the pain, hurt, repercussions, and suffering that we accumulate during our whole lives. When a parent is absent, a spouse leaves either physically or emotionally, or a friend disappoints you. You bear the abandonment when you are a victim of abuse, neglect, crime, or some other unjustice. You carry the anger when you fall into habitual sin or fail to live up to the high standard your manager set for you. You can be crushed by shame. We are now in the height of Christ's suffering in the jejunum, and yet so near his glorious resurrection. And Easter is possible for all of you exiles as well. How? All of you are part of a system that has an innermost self. One who is not only capable of leading and guiding your system, but also able to help you let go of so many of the burdens and sufferings that you bear Day in and day out. When it feels right and good to reach out to the innermost self, or even to other protectors in your system, you'll be able to share your story. You'll be seen, heard, known and loved. Experiencing the interior integration that comes with that human formation means lightning your load. It means experiencing a personal resurrection of sorts first within yourself, which ultimately helps you love God and neighbor more fully. This, in turn positively impacts the entire mystical body of Christ.

Speaker 2: This podcast is all about reaching out to your exiled parts, your inner outcasts. But you might be wondering what our parts in the first place. So to learn more about what we mean by parts, I'd recommend you check out the Being Human podcast episode 35, which is linked in the description below.

Speaker 1: Let's end with our invocations. Our lady Untier of knots, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us. Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
