Speaker 1: Brothers and sisters as a body is one, though it has many parts and all the parts of the body, though many are one body, so also Christ. For in one spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one spirit. Now the body is not a single part, but many.

Speaker 2: Welcome back to Scripture for your inner outcasts. Today is Tuesday, September 15th, 2026, the memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows. Today's guest presenters Pam Malinoski, the integrator for Souls and Hearts.

Speaker 1: First Corinthians chapter 12, verse 12 through 14. Brothers and sisters, as a body is one, though it has many parts and all the parts of the body, though many are one body, so also Christ. For in one spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one spirit. Now the body is not a single part, but many. Sometimes when I do these episodes of Scripture for your inner outcasts, I feel like I struggle to find something meaningful to say that's related to the readings. Today, however, is not one of those days. The beginning of the first reading today speaks directly to our parts, doesn't it? And I think there's a special message for all of you exiles who are listening today. You are important. Actually, you're more than just important. You are critical to our systems. Sometimes you exiled parts get the bum rap, don't you? You get hidden away, carefully guarded by your system's protectors who have good intentions but are pushed back nonetheless. You may hear and experience how those manager parts of your system get all the glory and praise for being organized, proactive, self-sacrificial, virtuous, and so on. It's easy to believe that your system just wants to get rid of you, because sometimes you get mistaken for the burdens you carry. But remember, you are not your burdens.

Speaker 1: In fact, your system as a whole would not be the same without you. You are needed and a critical part of your entire system. That said, I know it might be hard for you to believe that because of the burdens you're carrying. Many times they're just too big and heavy for you. But that's the beautiful thing about striving for interior integration. Because as you're invited to share your story and you grow to trust your innermost self and those other parts in your system, you don't need to carry those burdens alone anymore. They can be released, freeing you for a better, healthier role within your system. And when that happens, when you're able to release those burdens of shame, anger, abandonment, or fear, not only will your true nature be more clearly revealed, but you will be able to see clearly how important, how critical you are to your entire system. Because the truth of the matter is that you, you exiles, are just as loved by God your father, and marry your mother as all those parts who seem more likable on the surface. And when your innermost self extends that love to you and helps your other parts do the same, that love permeates through not only your entire system, but upwards toward God and outwards to everyone else, to all those other people and their parts in the entire mystical body of Christ.
